LD103Year 1Major Core

Professional Placement

Where self-discovery meets the calling — and the calling becomes practice.

About this subject

A practical subject covering how AI tools work and how ministry leaders, pastors, and organisational leaders can use them intelligently and ethically. Not a technology course — a leadership course about using every available tool as a force multiplier without losing the human and spiritual core of what a leader does. Covers AI for sermon and teaching preparation, content creation and communication, administration and systems, pastoral care workflows, strategic research and planning, and the ethical and theological questions AI raises for the Church.

What you walk away with

  • Demonstrate practical proficiency with the primary AI tools available to ministry leaders
  • Develop a personal AI ethics framework rooted in theological convictions
  • Apply AI tools to at least four ministry domains: teaching prep, communication, administration, and strategic planning
  • Articulate what AI cannot replace in pastoral and spiritual leadership
