Information is not formation.
This program is built on a single conviction: the Church is the hope of the world, and the leaders who build it deserve world-class formation. Not just information. Formation.
Most theological education trains people to know things. This program trains people to become someone — and then equips them with the theology, strategy, and practical skills to build something that outlasts them.
The two-year structure is intentional. Year 1 builds the person. Year 2 builds the practitioner. You cannot reverse that order without producing leaders who are strategically capable but personally hollow. The greatest threat to any ministry is not a lack of strategy. It is a leader who never did the inner work.
Every subject integrates three things: theology that is rigorous and alive, leadership that is practical and self-aware, and skills that can be applied on Monday morning. The program is unapologetically practical — not at the expense of depth, but because depth without application is just knowledge, and knowledge alone has never built a church.
Major and Minor
Major · Church Planting Leadership
The core sequence — theology, leadership, applied practice, planting philosophy, planting strategy, and planting execution — sits at the centre of every student’s two years. This is the credential the program is built around.
Minor · Specialisation Track
Each student selects one Minor in Year 1 and continues (or transfers) it in Year 2 at an advanced level. Minor options: Children’s Ministry, Youth Ministry, Worship & Creative Leadership, Preaching & Communication (Year 2 only), Cross-Cultural Mission (Year 2 only).
Two years. Two whole offerings. Stackable.
How the credential stacks
One year (Year 1) → the Certificate. The formation year ends with a real, named, accredited credential the student can put on their CV the day they finish.
Two years back-to-back (Year 1 + Year 2) → the Diploma. Both years completed in sequence yields the Diploma.
One year now, another year later → also the Diploma. A Certificate-qualified graduate who returns to complete Year 2 — next year, the year after, or in five — receives the Diploma on completion. The Certificate stacks. Year 2 doesn’t expire. Life can interrupt without breaking the credential pathway.
Two real awards. One stackable pathway. Year 1 is whole on its own. Year 2 is the deepening, not the second instalment. See the full two-year curriculum →
What a graduate walks away with
A student who completes both years of this program will have received thorough formation in every area that determines whether a ministry leader thrives or collapses. They will have done the inner work — on their identity, their marriage, their family, their finances, their emotional health, and their spiritual life. They will have a rigorous theological framework — not as an academic exercise but as a living foundation for every decision they make. They will have a practical toolkit — for planting, leading teams, handling money, caring for people, and using the tools of their generation. And they will understand the moment in history they are stepping into — what the Church has been, where it is going, and what their role in that story might be.
Most importantly, they will have been formed — not just informed. That is the difference between a program that produces graduates and a program that produces leaders.
