FAQ · Phase 1

Before you ask.

The questions everyone has before they apply. If yours isn’t here, the “have someone reach out” option on the apply page is your fastest route to a real answer.

Is this for me?

Yes. The program is built on the assumption that you've said yes to Jesus and want to give a year (or two) to becoming the kind of leader the Church needs. It is not designed for spiritual exploration. If you're somewhere earlier in the journey, the right next step is a conversation with a pastor — not this application.

No. We come from the Spirit-filled stream of the Church and our Statement of Faith is in our own words. You don't have to share every secondary conviction. You do need to be teachable on what the Bible says about the Holy Spirit, the gifts, and the Church.

No. Most students are not from a Futures campus. We'll work with your sending church, whoever they are.

We've taken students from 18 to 60+. The minimum is functional — you need to be old enough to live in a residential program responsibly and engage with adult-level academic work. The maximum is whatever life looks like for you.

Yes. We have students every year doing this with a spouse and kids. The program is designed to support a leader's whole life, not compete with it. Talk to us about what your situation looks like.

What is the program actually?

Both, structurally. Year 1 earns the Certificate. Year 2 earns the Diploma. Most students enrol for Year 1 and decide about Year 2 in March of their first year. Year 2 doesn't expire — you can come back next year, the year after, or in five.

Year 1 builds the person. Year 2 builds the practitioner. Year 1 is whole on its own — a leader can graduate Year 1 and go build something real. Year 2 is the deepening: church planting strategy and execution, advanced ecclesiology, finance, counselling, building high-performing teams, and the next level of your Minor.

Bible college trains you to know things. We train you to become someone — and then equip you with the theology, strategy, and practical skills to build something that outlasts you. Most of your teachers are working pastors and church planters, not career academics.

Every student takes Church Planting Leadership as their Major. They also pick one Minor — Children's Ministry, Youth Ministry, Worship & Creative Leadership, Preaching & Communication (Year 2 only), or Cross-Cultural Mission (Year 2 only). The Minor goes deeper in Year 2 with a substantial capstone.

Four tiers of the same content. The Combo (Academic + Internship) is the flagship — full credential pathway plus 480 hours on the ground. Academic is the degree without the placement. Audit + Internship is depth and proximity without the assessment load. Audit is sit-in. See /streams for the full breakdown.

How do I afford it?

All in USD. Combo $7,200/year · Academic $6,000/year (or $800/subject) · Audit + Internship $2,600/year · Audit $1,400/year (or $200/subject). Combo is the flagship — same year delivers both credentials and full placement.

Merit scholarships up to 40% off (Internship and Academic tracks only). Sending-church sponsorship 25–100%. Interest-free payment plans across 12 or 24 months. FOUNDER500 is $500 off the founders' cohort with a deposit before 29 May. If you want to be here, there's almost always a way.

A church — your home church or another — sponsors part or all of your tuition. The church doesn't have to be in the Futures network. We'll send you a one-page brief for your senior pastor explaining what the year involves and what sponsorship looks like in dollar terms.

A deposit before 29 May 2026 holds the offer. 12 months interest-free either way.

How do I apply?

About 90 seconds for the initial form. There is a follow-up conversation and (for some streams) a short interview. Acceptance decisions inside 7 days.

Hunger. Teachability. A real local church relationship. Some sense of calling — even if it's still forming. We are not looking for impressive résumés.

Yes. Talk to us about what life looks like. We will find a way that works.
