Church Planting Philosophy
Why we plant — before we ever ask how. Convictions that shape every decision.
About this subject
Establishes the theological, missiological, and cultural convictions that drive church planting. Students examine what a church actually is (building on TH102 ecclesiology), why multiplication is the default posture of a healthy church, what planting philosophy fits their context, calling, and convictions — and why getting this wrong leads to burned-out planters and stillborn churches. Placed in Year 1 so every subject in the program is read through the lens of a future planter.

- Articulate a comprehensive theology of church planting rooted in the biblical narrative
- Evaluate different planting philosophies and their missional assumptions
